Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Renaissance Revival ("we," "our," "us"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Renaissance Revival website, mobile applications, digital products, downloadable materials, discussion forums, social‑media channels, email newsletters, and any other services or content we provide (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept these Terms, you must not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract with us.

2. Educational Purpose Only; No Professional Advice

Renaissance Revival is an educational platform designed to foster a love of language, literature, and history. All content—including videos, lessons, articles, quizzes, annotations, podcasts, and any accompanying materials—is provided for informational and educational purposes only and does not constitute professional, academic, legal, medical, or financial advice.

 
3. No Guarantees or Warranties of Improvement

While we strive to create engaging resources that can help expand your vocabulary and sharpen your critical‑reading skills, we make no guarantees, promises, or warranties—express or implied—that your grades, standardized‑test scores (e.g., SAT®, ACT®, GRE®), or other academic or professional outcomes will improve as a result of using the Service. Your performance depends on numerous factors beyond our control, including but not limited to your own study habits, motivation, prior knowledge, test‑taking conditions, and the ever‑evolving format of standardized examinations. You acknowledge that your success ultimately rests in your own hands.

The Service is provided “as‑is” and “as‑available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non‑infringement.

 
4. User Accounts and Security

  1. Registration. To access certain features, you may be required to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it updated.

  2. Confidentiality. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and restricting access to your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.

  3. Account Termination. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that, in our sole judgment, pose a risk to the integrity or reputation of the Service.

 
5. Intellectual Property

All content on the Service (except where otherwise noted), including text, graphics, photographs, audio clips, video clips, study guides, and software, is the property of Renaissance Revival or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual‑property laws.  You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or commercially exploit any content without our prior written consent, except for fair‑use exceptions permitted by law.

 
6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any local, state, national, or international law;

  • Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or any other harmful code;

  • Engage in harassing, threatening, or abusive behaviour toward others;

  • Infringe or violate our intellectual‑property rights or those of a third party;

  • Use automated means (e.g., bots, spiders, scrapers) to access the Service without our prior written permission;

  • Copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without authorization.

 
7. Payments, Refunds, and Cancellation

Certain portions of the Service may be offered for a fee.  All prices are listed in U.S. dollars unless stated otherwise.

  • Payment Processing. We use third‑party payment processors; by purchasing, you agree to their terms.

  • Refund Policy. Unless otherwise stated at checkout, all sales are final. However, we reserve the right to offer refunds or credits at our sole discretion.

  • Subscription Cancellation. If you purchase a subscription, you may cancel at any time via your account settings; access will remain active through the end of the current billing cycle.

 
8. Third‑Party Links and Resources

The Service may contain links to third‑party websites or resources. We are not responsible for the content, products, or services on or available from those websites or resources.

 
9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Renaissance Revival, its officers, directors, employees, affiliates, agents, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (a) your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Service; (b) any conduct or content of any third party on the Service; (c) unauthorised access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content; or (d) any other matter relating to the Service.

 
10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Renaissance Revival and its affiliates from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt arising from your use of—and access to—the Service or your violation of these Terms.

 
11. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time.  When we do, we will post the updated Terms and revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

 
12. Governing Law; Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict‑of‑law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved through good‑faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, the dispute shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Texas, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.

 
13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.

 
14. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional terms to which you agree when using particular elements of the Service, constitute the entire agreement between you and Renaissance Revival.
