Nice to Meet You!
I'm Erica Abbett, pictured here with my sweet little family.
I'm the one-woman team behind Renaissance Revival and the author/annotator of all the books you see above.
I'm also a former teacher, and I'm on a mission to get people to stop picking up their phones when they're bored, and start picking up books instead!
I'd love to join your next book group if you're looking for a guest.
Xo,
-Erica Abbett

Will I only get access to the e-books?Yes, purchasing the "Annotated Classics Collection" through Renaissance Revival only gives you access to the e-books. Alas, printing and shipping are cost prohibitive for this modest collection. However, we agree that paperbacks are amazing, and they are all available on Amazon! Here are the links to the annotated paperbacks, if you prefer hard copies: A Room With a View Jane Eyre The Iliad The Prince Macbeth The Great Gatsby The Legend of Sleepy Hollow Treasure Island

What Makes Erica Abbett qualified to annotate the classics?Erica Abbett is a former teacher whose commitment to a classical education runs so deep, she moved to Italy when she was 17 to live with a host family studying ancient history. From there, Erica pursued her undergraduate degree at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, graduating early with a major in International Studies and a minor in Italian. Along the way, she also spent a year studying abroad in the Middle East: the fall semester of her junior year was spent at the American University in Cairo, and the spring semester was at Tel Aviv University. Erica went on to teach English and history at one of the most prestigious schools in the DFW area. When her son was born, she transitioned to writing full-time. In the past six years, she has published two novels (Ahead of Her Time: An SAT Vocabulary Novel and Siena Saint James Is Not a Spy), two novelettes (Death at the Villa Tarconti and Short Stories to Boost Your Vocabulary), and annotated eight classic novels.
